Application of Frame-pack Rolling Technology to Process of Spray Deposition Sheets

Spray deposited porous aluminum alloy sheets easily have surface and edge crack when they are directly rolled due to the porosity and metallurgical bond. So the effecte of frame-pack rolling technology on microstructure and mechanical proprties of spray deposited porous 5A06 and 8009 aluminum alloy sheets after rolling were studied. The results show that "the frame-pack rolling" technology can increase the densify, avoid cracking during rolling, and effectively improve the deformability and mechanical properties of the spray deposited porous aluminum alloy sheets.
