Primary care for asylum seekers in the Netherlands.

2004
In 2000 policymakers decided that primary care for asylum seekers should be organized as it is for Dutch residents. Nurses of the Community Health Services organize selection and referral to primary care. General practitioners have practice in the different Centres of Asylum Seekers or in their own practices. Little is known about morbidity among asylum seekers and their use of the primary care system. Nothing is known about the workoad of GP's delivering services for asylum seekers. (aut.ref.)
