Exchange properties of ammonium salt of 12-heteropolyacids—VI. Sorption of cerium, ruthenium, zirconium and nionium on ammobium phosphotungstate and isolation of 137Cs from an aged mixture of fission products
1963
The sorption of Ce, Ru, Nb, and Zr on NH/sub 4/PW and the isolation of Cs/sup 137/ from fission products solution were examined. The sorption of an equilibrium mixture of Zr/sup 95/-Nb/sup 95/ was found to increase with increasing acidity. The effects of sodium and ammonium salts on the sorption of Ce/sup 144/, ruthenium nitrate, nitrosylruthenium nitrate, and Nb/sup 95/- Zr/sup 95/ were also investigated. The results are tabulated.
