Research on the Moisture Resistance of SrAl_2O_4:Eu~(2+),Dy~(3+)

Stability of the luminescent and long phosphorescent properties of SrAl_2O_4:Eu~(2+),Dy~(3+) in water was researched. The phosphors are easy to hydrolysis,their luminescent character changes and emit blue green light. To improve the moisture resistance of SrAl_2O_4:Eu~(2+),Dy~(3+), phosphor was fired with ammonium difluoride at 700 ℃.The phosphor particles were coated with a moisture-impervious coating.The results showed that it improved the moisture resistance of phosphors and did not degrade the luminesence obviously.
