Breast Reconstruction Using the Muscle Sparing Lattisimus Dorsi Flap with Alloplastic Devices

2020
The subscapular artery system is the reconstructive warehouse of the back. The thoracodorsal artery, a branch of the subscapular artery, provides pedicled flaps with a wide range of applications, including breast reconstruction [1], upper extremity and trunk reconstruction [2], and physiologic lymphedema operations. With microvascular anastomosis, it can provide a myocutaneous free flap [4] or a chimeric flap for bony and cutaneous defects [5]
