Antibacterial effect of nihuangjiedu tablets from different manufacturers: a comparative study

OBJECTIVE To establish the method to determine the microbial limit viable count tests for nihuangjiedu tablets from different manufacturers according to the recovery test to compare the strength of inhibition of nihuangjiedu tablets.METHODS By means of the microbial limit test,the validation of the Niuhuangjiedu tablets was determined.RESULTS Nihuangjiedu tablets from different manufactures had different antibacterial effects,the centrifugal sedimentation plus membrane filtration method had the most powerful antibacterial effect with the recovery rate more than 70.0%.CONCLUSION The test of the antibacterial effect of the Niuhuangjiedu tablets from seven manufactures has provided reference for establishing the microbial limit test method.
