Orientational dependence of single-crystal transmission coefficients for fast neutrons and gamma rays

1989
Abstract An experimental study has been carried out of the effect of germanium and antimony single crystal orientation on the transmission of strongly collimated fast neutron and gamma-ray beams. The transmission coefficients have been found to exhibit a complex angular dependence at small incidence angles with respect to the crystallographic axis (120′).
