2013
Objective:To explore the effective endoscopic treatment for patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)complicated with bladder calculi.Method:Twenty-six patients of BPH with bladder calculi were treated with greenlight photoselective vaporization of the prostate(PVP)followed by transurethral pneumatic and ultrasonic lithotripsy.Result:All the operations were successful with the stones removed completely. There was no such severe complications as bleeding, bladder perforation and severe infection occurred during and after operation. The postoperative hospitalization was 3-5days.The maximal flow rate increased significantly in all patients. Conclusion:PVP combined with transurethral pneumatic and ultrasound lithotripsy proves to be an effective and safe method for patients with BPH and bladder calculi.
