The Role of Colour Terms in Environmental Discourse
2014
This study presents the role of colour terms in environmental discourse. Based on what is observable in the communication of organisations in the United-Kingdom from 2000 to 2012, it questions the symbolic value of the colour green and describes the wealth of discursive phenomena triggered by its essential character. Touches of other colours are also analysed and the diachronic approach brings to light the evolutions of the symbolic value of colours in this type of discourse.
