Fast correlation coefficient method for interferometric synthetic aperture radar image precise registration

2011
The invention relates to a fast correlation coefficient method for interferometric synthetic aperture radar image precise registration. The method includes the steps: firstly, reading an interferometric synthetic aperture radar image pair reaching pixel-level precision by coarse registration; secondly, performing image preprocessing, dividing the read image pair to a plurality of sub-image pairs, and performing mean removal for each sub-image pair to enable the mean of each sub-image to be zero; thirdly, solving an optimization problem to estimate offset of sub-pixel level images and establishing point correspondence; and fourthly, performing inversion for geometric warp function among the images and transforming coordinates of auxiliary images. An offset searching problem in a traditional correlation coefficient method is transformed to a multivariable nonlinear optimization problem, sub-pixel level offset among the images can be estimated without subjecting the images to any oversampling processing, and the method is fast, high in precision and the like.
