The utility model relates to a glow discharge electrode, and particularly discloses a glow discharge electrode with a slot electrical insulation structure. The electrode comprises a vacuum lead, an electrode part arranged at one end of the vacuum lead, and a shield cover covering the vacuum lead and the electrode, wherein insulators are arranged between the shield cover and the vacuum lead; gaps are formed among the electrode part, the vacuum lead and the shield cover; the spacing of the gaps is 5-20mm; and the insulators are far away from the head of the electrode part and made of an Al2O3 ceramic material with purity being greater than or equal to 99%. The electrode is simple in structure, has good electrical insulation property and neutron irradiation resistance, can avoid parasitic discharge and radio-frequency interference with a peripheral system, requires no periodic maintenance, or prolongs the interval time of periodic maintenance, meets safety and reliability requirements of a fusion experimental reactor on the glow discharge electrode, and is applicable to the fusion experimental reactor and an ultrahigh vacuum device with a special requirement.
