Invasive Small Cell Bladder Cancer
2018
Bladder cancer is the most common malignancy arising from the urinary tract, the fourth most common cancer in males and the tenth most common cancer in females. The major type of bladder cancer is transitional cell carcinoma. Invasive small cell carcinoma of the bladder is a very rare, poorly differentiated neuroendocrine epithelial type of cancer, with a poor prognosis. PET/MR imaging can help to identify small metastatic lymph nodes, pelvic sidewall metastases, tumor recurrence, and distant metastatic spread.
