Physiological Responses of Lindera megaphylla to Low Temperatrure and Its Cold Tblerance

2012
The free proline(Pro) content, malondialdehyde(MDA) content and super oxide dismutase(SOD) activity of leaves from Lindera megaphylla Hemsl under four different low temperature(5,0,-5℃and - 10℃) were measured respectively. The morphological changes of leaves were also investigated. The results show that annual seeding of Lindera megaphylla can bear low temperature about 5℃and grow well. However, symptoms of frozen injury appeared when they have been cultured under 0℃or lower.Free Pro and the MDA content of leaves increased at the beginning and then decreased during the treatment, but the activity of SOD decreased continuously.
