Avaliação do risco de incêndio em centros urbanos antigos parte I: aplicação do método de Arica ao centro histórico do Funchal

Tendo como objectivo avaliar o risco de incendio do centro historico do Funchal aplicaram-se os metodos de Gretener e ARICA a alguns edificios caracteristicos. A aplicacao dos metodos permitiu nao so verificar o risco de incendio como detectar as diferencas entre os metodos. EnglishThe different design and materials used in old buildings aggravated their fi re risk. This situation introduces problems of difficult solution to the old urban centers. With the aim of assessing the fi re risk of the historic center of Funchal the methods of Gretener and ARICA were applied to some characteristic buildings. The application of the methods allowed not only to check the fi re risk but also to detect the differences between the methods.
