Life strategy of an alpine carabid: Pterostichus jurinei (Coleoptera, Carabidae)

Pterostichus jurinei (Panzer 1805) is widely distributed in the Eastern Central Alps and in the Carpathians. The brachypterous species is a dominant carabid of alpine meadows, but is also common in woodland near the timberline.
