Anomalous ferromagnetic resonance spectra of Ni crystals

1988
The authors have shown that the ferromagnetic resonance spectra of Ni crystals stabilized on the surface of silica gel and obtained by reduction at low temperature of bound nickel chloride are anomalous in character, with several maxima in the low-field part of the spectrum. In accordance with available data, such spectra may be explained both by formation of Ni crystals on the surface of the support (the crystallographic structure of the Ni lattice may differ substantially from face-centered cubic), and by the appearance of some fraction of ferromagnetic crystals in the superparamagnetic ensemble of supported Ni crystals.
