Notice of Retraction Analysis of Heating Steady Temperature Field in a Ceramic/Metal Composite FGM Plate by FEM

2010
A finite element model is constructed to analyze the steady temperature field in a ceramic/metal composite FGM plate under heating boundary. From numerical calculation, when T 0 = T a = 300 K and T b = 1 800 K, the steady temperature field distributions in the plate were obtained. The numerical results show that the temperature distribution in the composite plate is more reasonable with the increase of the FGM layer thickness and when M = 1. With the increase of porosity, the variations of temperature curves become big, and there is an abrupt change for temperature in the middle of the plate, its value is about 1 250 K. But the temperature curve is gentle and smooth at the bonding interfaces of the three-layered composite plate. Compared with T a = 300 K, when T a = 900 K, the temperature on the surface of metal increases by 200%. Compared with T b = 1 050 K, when T b = 1 800 K, the temperature on the surface of ceramics increases by 71.4%. Compared with the nongraded two-layered composite plate, the temperature of the Ti-6Al-4V/ZrO 2 three-layered composite FGM plate is very gentle and smooth. The above results provide the foundations of theoretical calculation for the design and application and the further analysis of thermal stress in the ceramic/metal composite FGM plate.
