Research on Routing Protocol of Energy-saving Mobile Ad Hoc Network Based on Reputation Mechanism

2021
Mobile ad hoc network is a wireless mobile communication network composed of a group of mobile nodes with wireless transceiver devices. It is a self-organizing and self-healing network without relying on the existing fixed communication network infrastructure and without any central entity. Because each node is both a host and a router in mobile ad hoc networks, it is vulnerable to attacks based on routing information, which is not considered in current routing protocols. In this paper, based on the analysis of the security characteristics of mobile ad hoc networks, an evaluation system based on reputation mechanism is established, and an energy-saving routing protocol based on reputation mechanism is proposed, which adopts a low-energy transmission path selection algorithm. Simulation results show that this strategy effectively prolongs the network lifetime and well balances the needs of saving energy and protecting the traditional performance of the network.
