The Semantic Web heavily relies on formal ontologies to enable machineinterpretation, reasoning and communication about the underlying data. However, it turned out that ontology engineering is an as difficult and time consuming task as knowledge engineering in general. Therefore there is an increasing amount of research concerned with the support of manual ontology engineering by automatic methods called ontology learning [11].
