Research progress of application of photo-Fenton oxidation in wastewater treatment

Photo-Fenton oxidation is a kind of advanced oxidation process andgreen water treatment technology,which coupled ultraviolet or visible light oxidation with Fenton oxidation system.This technology was widely studied and applied in treatment ofhard degradable wastewater from dye,phenols,explosive,pesticide,paper-making and some other industries.At present,the research on photo-Fenton oxidation technology maily focus on two aspects: firstly,introducing matters such as oxalate complexes,TiO2 and so on into Fenton system or combining photo-Fenton oxidation with other processes to improve the treatment effect and decrease the cost;secondly,stabilizing iron cation to formheterogeneous photo-Fenton reactor and then,decrease catalyst loss,reduce secondary pollution as well.It was indicated that,to develop condenser,seekgood photoactive reagent to fully utilize sunlight,and to develop efficient and low-costheterogeneous catalyst would become the future research trend.
