The importance of standardization for risk management on Seveso site

The main element to keep risk in Seveso sites at the acceptable level are internal and external inspection of safety management systems — SMS. Only inspection with clear and standardized criteria can give valid results. The paper is exposed API method for inspection on Seveso SMS as well as its implementation of SMS inspections on Seveso site in Serbia. Based on the research, it was concluded that the standardized inspection process through monitoring and evaluation of risk management is the only right way to keep risk in Seveso sites at an acceptable level.
