서울시 공유경제 활성화방안 :숙박공유 중심

2015
This study aims at providing a plan to revitalize the “share economy”, which has emerged to overcome the global economic crisis through reasonable consumption. As one of the solutions to urban problems, Seoul City established "Share City Seoul” and wants to solve various social issues it faces through the sharing economy. The sharing economy concept indicates a new way of economic activity to share (or lend) extra resources that individuals have, such as items, knowledge, space, and experience with others online. The most important goal of the sharing economic activity is not to maximize profits, but to create social values like resource saving, environmental protection, community sense, regional economy revitalisation, and to get proper profits. The sharing economy is welcomed as an alternative, innovative economic system, but there are also worries. As the size of the sharing economy becomes larger, conflicts with existing business areas are occurring. Particularly in case of evidently promoted existing businesses such as car sharing, accommodation or tourist guides, it has become a greater social issue. Although the frequency of use and the consciousness about the sharing economy spreads, this does not create correct awareness, because economic benefits still have priority. In the case of Seoul citizens, they prefer to share aptitudes such as knowledge or experience in diverse fields with others. Especially participation with a lot of interest in tourism areas is increasing. To activate the sharing economy, first, it is necessary to Raise citizens’ awareness. Above all, the concept of a right sharing economy must be spread. Next it is necessary to discuss and review the issue of friction between the sharing economy and existing businesses for improvement. Seoul City should support this and provide a place where we can concern ourselves with what to share in new fields.
