Isolation of Syringaresinol from Paraserianthes falcataria (L.) Nielsen

A survey of lignans in Paraserianthes falcataria (=Albizia falcataria) which is one of the most important fast growing trees in tropical Asia was carried out, and syringaresinol was isolated from the methanol extracts of heartwood.
