Hacettepe Üniversitesi Kütüphaneleri Web Sitesinin Kullanilabilirliğinin Eğitimle Desteklenmesi ve Değerlendirilmesi: Hacettepe Üniversitesi Bilgi ve Belge Yönetimi Bölümü Öğrencileri Üzerine Bir Çalişma An Evaluation and Support of Usability of Hacettepe University Libraries' Websites through Training: A Study on Students of Hacettepe University, the Department of Information Management

Bu calisma, Hacettepe Universitesi Kutuphaneleri'nin web sitesini degerlendirerek, kullanim ozelliklerini sinamak ve kullanici egitiminin web sitesi kullanmadaki etkilerini degerlendirmek amaciyla yapilmistir. Universite Kutuphanesi web sitesi kullanicisi olan sekiz gonullu denek uzerinde gerceklestirilen arastirmada nitel ve nicel yontemler birlikte kullanilmistir. Klasik kullanilabilirlik testinin uygulanmasi asamasinda deneklere universite kutuphanesi web sitesinin cesitli bolumlerinin kullanimini gerektiren alti gorev verilmistir. Sorularin yanitlanmasi sirasinda sesli dusunme teknigi ile elde edilen veriler, tiklama sayilari ve yanitlama sureleri kaydedilmistir. Daha sonra deneklere kutuphaneci tarafindan bir egitim verilmistir. Calismanin sonucunda elde edilen nicel ve nitel veriler analiz edilerek web sitesinin kullanimini olumlu ya da olumsuz etkileyen unsurlar belirlenmistir. Arastirma sonuclarina bakildiginda, egitim oncesi kullanicilarin yanitlamakta en zorlandiklari sorular katalog taramasi, veri tabanlarina erisim ve makale bulma sorularidir. Deneklerin egitimle desteklenmesi web sitesinin kullanilabilirligini olumlu yonde etkilemistir. Calismadan elde edilen bulgulara gore, kullanicilara egitim programlari icerisinde web sitesinin ogrenimi ve kullanimi ile ilgili egitimler verilmesi, katalog kisminin daha on plana cikarilmasi, kullanilan terminolojinin gozden gecirilmesi, veri tabanlari kisminda bir konu arama motoru olusturulmasi onerilmektedir. Abstract This study has been conducted with the aim of testing the characteristics of usage and evaluating the effects of user education on web site use through assessment of website of Hacettepe University Libraries. In the study conducted on eight volunteer subjects who are users of the website of the University Libraries, qualitative and quantitative research methods were used collectively. During the application of the traditional usability test, six tasks were given to the associations, requiring them to use various sections of the website of the university
