Specific tyrosine residues of Ve-Cad mediate endothelial cell migration: A role in angiogenesis

METHODS: Thirty-two SCID mice with size-matched, orthotopic, alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma xenografts were divided into four treatment groups: (1) control (2) interferon (3) radiation and (4) interferon followed by irradiation. We used an adeno-associated virus (AAV) vector to establish continuous systemic delivery of interferonbeta. During therapy, tumors were evaluated for differences in perfusion and oxygenation by contrast-enhanced ultrasonography and Oxylab Probe measurement, respectively, as well as size.
