Effects and clinical significance of Entecavir for interleukin-10 and transformer growth factor-β_1 of patients with chronic hepatitis B

2013
Objective To explore the changes and significance of sera levels of IL-10 and TGF-β1 in patients with chronic hepatitis B before and after Entecavir therapy. Methods 83 patients with chronic hepatitis B were randomly assigned to two groups, the treatment group and the control group.Treatment group(42 cases) was treated with Ente cavir for 0.5 mg/d,while Glucurone and Compound Vitamin B were given to the control group(41 cases). The thera peutic course for both groups was 6 months. Before treatment and 6 months after treatment, the level of IL-10 and TGF-β1 were detected. The liver function and serum HBV-DNA were determined. Results After treatment the serum level of IL-10,TGF-β1 decreased than before treatment in the two groups, the difference was significant(P 0.05),experimental group [IL-10:(15.42 ±6.87) ng/L;TGF-β1:(43.96 ±12.83) ng/L] than the control group[IL-10:(24.56 ± 7.92) ng/L;TGF-β1:(55.63±13.14) ng/L] decreased more obviously(P 0.05);after treatment,ALT,TBIL and HBV DNA declined,ALB and PTA raise,ALT and TBIL compared with control group, the difference was statistically signif icant(P 0.05).Conclusion Entecavir may inhibit HBV replication by decreasing the serum IL-10 and TGF-β1 in patients with chronic hepatitis B,which may lead to an enhanced immune function.
