A dossier on 1938 Italian anti-Semitic racial laws, with particular reference to the impact on the Italian scientific-mathematical world. The cases of Guido Fubini (and his relations with Tullio Levi–Civita), the Castelnuovo sisters, Enrica Calabresi and Enrico Volterra are analysed.
