Preliminary evaluation of the LIUQE code reconstruction performance for the DTT device

2021
Abstract The Divertor Tokamak Test (DTT) facility is a medium-size tokamak whose construction is starting in the ENEA Site, Frascati. Its principal aim is to investigate alternative solutions for the power exhaust in view of future fusion reactors such as ITER and DEMO, and in this view a palette of several possible magnetic configurations is currently at study for this machine. As in all fusion devices, DTT will be equipped since day-0 with a suitable set of magnetic diagnostics, which is currently in the design phase. In this work, we use the FEM models of several magnetic configurations obtained with the CREATE-L/NL codes and a preliminary set of magnetic sensors to evaluate the accuracy achievable by the LIUQE equilibrium reconstruction code over a variety of magnetic configurations.
