Treatment of a case of extreme micrognathia. Significance of continuous traction
1975
A case of very marked mandibulary atrophy was corrected by osteotomy and bone grafting of the ascending ramus. This procedure was performed in two stages with continuous traction of the mandible. This traction avoided the retro-displacement caused by the skin and muscle contracture and stabilized the post-operative immobilization.
