Phase transitions of commercial aluminum oxide as a catalyst support

1985
This paper describes the use of IR spectroscopy in studying the products from heat-treatment of aluminum hydroxides and oxides. An IR spectroscopy study of the relationship between the temperature of the phase transitions and the nature of the original hydroxide is presented. On the basis of an analysis of the spectra, the phase composition of the products from heat treatment of the aluminum hydroxide and oxide sample was determined.
