Thermal Bridges in Wall Panels of Wooden Frame Houses

2020
Object of study is wall panels of houses with a wooden frame. It is assumed that the cladding of the enclosing panels is made of oriented strand board (OSB); thermal insulation is made of mineral wool. The subject of study is temperature distribution over the surfaces of panels and analysis of thermal bridges. The objective is to reduce the influence of thermal bridges on the uneven distribution of temperature on the surface of the panel inside the house. To achieve the goal, methods of system analysis, methods of numerical simulation of heat transfer, analysis of numerical solutions, and also analysis of alternative panel design were used. Three panel design options were investigated. Using the results of the study, a panel design option was proposed in which the temperature difference on the surface inside the house decreased from 8 to 3 °C. The prospect of the development of the topic is related to studying the temperature in the corner joints of the walls with each other, as well as improving the corresponding nodes.
