Salacetal, an Oleanane-type Triterpene from Salacia longipes var. camerunensis

All isolated compounds including salacetal (I) are tested for their antibacterial activity against Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, as well as their anti fungal potency against Candida albicans and Mucor miehei.
