The Effectiveness of Interactive Teaching and Learning

2005
The interactive style of teaching and learning, whereby students learn by consulting with each other, may not be familiar to some students in the international classroom. This approach however is regarded as beneficial by many educators for students’ learning despite their protests against it. This study involved examining both the teachers’ and students’ perspectives on interactive teaching and learning. Using questionnaires and semi-structured interviews, the researchers conducted surveys in order to gauge the opinion of both parties and explore the possible benefits and pitfalls of interactive teaching and learning.
