Experimental Investigation on Coupling Fiber-optic Vibration Sensor

According to the characteristic of the coupler's coupling ratio is sensitive to the length change,a new kind of coupling fiber-optic vibration sensor was presented.And the demodulation system for photoelectric conversion and signal process to its response was designed.The static and dynamic test was done and the response curve when applied with vibration and shock was shown.The behaviors of the coupling fiber-optic vibration sensor were closely agreed with the response of a high precision piezoelectric accelerometer.The experimental results show that the coupling fiber-optic vibration sensor not only meets the requirement of vibration measurement,but also has the merits of high sensitivity,system simple,low cost etc.
