New boron reagents for cycloboration of α-olefins into boriranes under Cp2TiCl2 catalysis

Abstract The one-pot cycloboration of α-olefins (oct-1-ene, dec-1-ene) for a facile access to substituted boriranes has been carried out with the use of alkyl, arylalkyl, and cycloalkyl boron dichlorides (EtBCl 2 , n-PentBCl 2 , n-HexBCl 2 , Ph(CH 2 ) 2 BCl 2 , cyclo-OctBCl 2 , 2-norbornylBCl 2 ) under Cp 2 TiCl 2 catalysis.
