The sealing material (70) includes a contact portion (71) contacting the movable element (64); and a recessed portion (72) formed around contact portion (71), having a ring-shaped groove facing the outside of the motor case, and elastically deformable according to reciprocating movement of the movable element (64). An electromotive unit (60) that hardly generates noise while the movable element (64) is being reciprocatingly driven, and a small-size electrical appliance including the electromotive unit (60) can be provided.
