Effect of fillers in lubricating oil and of structure on the operating performance of parts from sintered materials

1978
1. The useful life of a self-lubricating sintered part from an iron powder can be substantially increased by introducing a polymer and graphite into the lubricant and from 1 to 1.5 wt.% graphite into the starting charge. 2. In the absence of an external lubricant supply the operating performance of a system composed of a sintered skeleton and a filler depends mainly on the filler.
