Dissociation of non-screw dislocations in B.C.C. lattice

A non-planar dissociation of non-screw 1/2[¯111] (110) dislocations is proposed. The dissociation is possible for dislocations of [1¯11] and [1¯10] directions and the dislocations of these directions become sessile. The [1¯11] and [1¯10] directions are in agreement with experimentally observed shape of dislocations in the (110) glide plane.
