The article presents the analysis of the results of treatment and screening of 698 patients with erosive and ulcerative lesions of the upper digestive tract, which accounted for 39.49% of the total number of patients with gastro-intestinal bleeding. These lesions were detected in 73.8% of patients in critical condition. In the pathogenesis of erosive and ulcerative lesions of the authors played a leading role ischemically-reperfusion syndrome, hypersecretion of hydrochloric acid, leading to profound violations of the microcirculation, hypoxia, activation of free radical oxidation in the gastric mucosa, 12-duodenum.
