Corrigendum to Leishmania infantum: Lipophosphoglycan intraspecific variation and interaction with vertebrate and invertebrate hosts [Int J Parasitol 2011;41:333-42]

The article by Coelho-Finamore et al. (2011) published in International Journal for Parasitology vol. 41: 333–342 evaluated the intraspecies polymorphism in Leishmania infantum lipophosphoglycan (LPG). In this article, the strains exhibited three types of LPG: type I does not have side chains; type II has one b-glucose residue that branches off the disaccharide-phosphate repeat units and type III has up to three glucose residues (oligo-glucosylated). Those results were represented in Fig. 6, where type I LPG was erroneously assigned with glucose residues as side-chains. The correct Fig. 6 is shown on the next page.
