The theoretical analysis and comparative legal study on jurisdictions for forward freight agreements

This paper reviews the classification standard for civil jurisdiction and maritime jurisdiction and then comes to the conclusion that it is theoretically reasonable for maritime courts to have jurisdiction over forward freight agreements,Further,this paper compares the cases over the nature of forward freight agreements in the U.K,Australia and the United States and concludes that it is of great necessity in practice to give the Chinese maritime court the jurisdiction over forward freight agreements.
