Thermal deformation behavior of turbine blade material and blank manufacturing parameter optimization

2012
To enhance a turbine blade's forging quality and production efficiency, reduce the mold abrasion, the thermal deformation behavior of its material was researched and a high temperature constitutive equation of the material was established which were based on a thermal simulation experiment.Using the established equation, the forging process was simulated in the way of orthogonal test and the blank parameters were optimized. The result of thermal simulation experiment shows that this material follows hyperbolic-sine function when it is forged. The forging simulation shows that it's better to use a blank of 40 degree between the tip and root and there is a difference of sensitivity coefficient on factors between forging quality and die load.Forging test shows that forging quality and production efficiency can be improved with optimization of blank. This research shall be an important reference for blade production.
