Photovoltaic Properties of Photosensitive in Wide Spectral Region Heterostructures

2002
Fast progress in the field of organic light emitting diodes (OLED) at last years stimulates interest in development of the organic solar cells. However only 2–3 % efficiency of solar energy transformation has been reached [1, 2]. One of the main reasons of the insufficient efficiency is narrow spectral photosensitivity region of used organic materials (400–700 nm). Thus, an extension of photosensitivity range of organic structures in near IR-region is one of the basic means to increase the efficiency of organic solar cells [3]. Therefore our purpose was the development of organic layers, photosensitive in near IR-region, which can be used as the components of organic solar cells.
