Method for determining screening time in self-adaptive ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD)

2011
The invention discloses a method for determining the screening time in self-adaptive ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD). In the method, different screening stopping criterions are adopted for each intrinsic mode function (IMF). The method comprises the following steps of: calculating the data point number of a vibration signal, solving the number of the intrinsic mode functions (IMF) according to the data point number, and selecting the screening time in a self-adaptive mode for each IMF. The method has the advantages that: screening stopping criterions can be adopted in a self-adaptive mode for each IMF, and the conventional phenomenon of frequency aliasing due to the adoption of the same and regular screening time in each IMF is avoided, so the IMFs with the definite physical significance are decomposed, and a non-linear and non-stationary signal can be analyzed to diagnose the failure of mechanical equipment effectively.
