Publisher Summary The chapter uses the element shell63 in ANSYS to simulate a structure, makes modal analysis and spectrum analysis, and also discusses dynamic responses under pulsate wind load. The stiffness of the structure is less, so the characteristic frequency is less and the eigen period is longer. The odd order modals are antisymmetrical, while the even order modals are symmetrical. The dynamic response under earthquake is not a control factor for an arched corrugated metal roof. The dynamic responses at the quarter of the structure are larger than the mid-point and the dynamic responses under horizontal earthquake than those under vertical earthquake. The credibility of the shell model and use the shell model to analyze the wind-induced dynamic responses is shown in the chapter. The chapter also proposes a simplified designing method considering the dynamic responses explained in the chapter.
