Complementary Analysis of the Degree of Polymerization Based on Chemical Markers 2-Furaldehyde and Methanol Using the Fuzzy Logic
2020
This paper proposes the complementary analysis of the degree of polymerization by using 2-furaldehyde (2-FAL) and methanol (CH3OH) as chemical markers. It is presented a complementary method of analyzing the condition of solid insulation in transformers, developed based on the fuzzy logic, using the chemical markers 2-FAL and methanol as analysis tools. These markers are valuable tools for monitoring the aging condition of the solid insulation in transformers; the complementary analysis of these markers allows the assessment of the operating life of transformers. The implementation of the method is achieved by using a system developed in the LabVIEW graphical programming environment, allowing fast and concrete results to be obtained.
