Stability Analysis of Varying The Range of Fuzzy Variables of Consequence Membership Function

2008
The development of fuzzy control systems is usually performed by heuristic means, incorporating human skills, the drawback being in the lack of general-purpose development methods. A major problem, which follows from this development, is the analysis of the structural properties of the control system, such as stability, controllability and robustness. For nonlinearity of fuzzy controller it is difficult to analyze mathematically. The main problem in dealing with control systems with fuzzy controller is that there does not exist analytical description of dynamic behavior of such systems. Fuzzy controller can be approximated with Describing Function in frequency domain and we determine the absolute using the Nyquist plot. We can make this problem easer with using describing function approach as the stability analysis method. Fuzzy controller can make various relationship between input and output with varying the range of fuzzy variable of consequent membership function. In this paper we studied the range of fuzzy variable that can make system stable using Describing function and the response as varying reference value.
