CHO Cells Cultivation and Antibodies Production in a New Disposable Bioreactor Based on Magnetic Driven Centrifugal Pump

The need for efficient disposable solutions for animal cell culture is more and more crucial. To broaden the offer of available solutions, we developed a novel scalable disposable stirred tank bioreactor, based on a proprietary centrifugal-based flow impeller. Here we present CFD simulation of shear stresses, KL.a studies and CHO cell cultures that attest the reactor compatibly with animal cell culture. We noticed that CHO cells cultivated in such reactor have similar growth and productivity than in a conventional stirred tank bioreactor.
