Role of Vitamins in Biotransformation of Xenobiotics
1985
Many toxic substances and drugs are oxidated in the cytochrome P-450-dependent monooxygenase system of the rat liver endoplasmic reticulum. To elucidate a role of vitamins in this system activity a study was made of the change in the cytochrome P-450 content, electron transport in the NADPH- and NADH-dependent redox chains and the rates of aniline and amidopyrine catabolism in rat liver microsomes.
