Bronchography and Bronchial Adenomas
1971
Seven patients with bronchial adenomas had a bronchogram as part of their diagnostic workup. In five of these patients, a distinctive outward flaring of the involved bronchus just proximal to the obstructing mass was demonstrated. This bronchographic sign allowed a correct preoperative diagnosis to be made in all five cases. The value of technically superior bronchography is stressed. Bronchography should be utilized more often in the diagnostic evaluation of various pulmonary problems.
